Tamara Carmichael

Yoga Teacher

Tamara completed her Internationally certified 200YTT at Joga Yoga in Bali in 2025, after 16 years of dedicated practice in Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Yin styles. Offering regular Hatha and Yin classes each week, Tamara also offers a dynamic Vinyasa-Hatha combo class each Tuesday evening which blends static postures and dynamic flow movements.

 

Yoga Classes

Vin-Hatha

Challenge your strength and balance with a dynamic vinyasa and hatha combo class.

This class combines flowing sequences of vinyasa and static, strength-building postures of hatha style.

Held next to the Portarlington kids park (behind Parks Hall) in summer, so please BYO mat if held outside. Class will be held at the PFWC club during winter and inclement weather.

Yin Yoga

Wind down the week with a restorative yoga practice that focuses on gentle stretches, relaxation and rejuvenation. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes to release and restore muscle fascia and repair functionality. Set to soothing tunes, you feel replenished and ready for a restful sleep.

Hatha

Focus on the fundamentals of Hatha yoga, including tuning into your breath while you work through a series of static postures. This is a slow and gentle class aimed at beginners looking for a deep stretch and relaxing state of mind.
